Walking Analysis

Many sporting and overuse injuries are caused by poor ankle and foot posture, as well as alignment problems. These issues put extra strain on joints further up the body, affecting your overall movement.

A walking analysis is an in-depth assessment of the way you move. This assessment is beneficial to prevent injury, improve performance and assess contributing factors to lower limb pain.
Movement at the feet can impact the movements at joints further up the body. Our podiatry experts will address your immediate concerns, provide advice, and discuss your short- and long-term goals.

A thorough examination of the joints, muscles and ligaments in the lower limb will be performed in combination with a high-definition video and force plate gait analysis. All this information will allow us to design a personalised treatment plan for you.

Zebris Gait Analysis

PoshPod prides itself for being the only practice in the city to offer Zebris Gait Analysis, allowing us to provide data-driven, accurate assessments of your foot and leg problems.

How does it work?

The system uses a treadmill with a highly sensitive force plate under the tread, which helps measure how much force you exert on the ground while exercising.

The treatment process will require data such as:

  • Cadence
  • Contact time
  • Stride length
  • Centre of mass distribution
  • Force data footprints
  • Limb comparison studies
  • Running gait cycle

Why it helps

  • Data-driven approach on diagnosis and treatment
  • Specialized technology
